FIELD SPORTS ART

Sporting Still Life Collection

Traditional Field sports Meets Renaissance Art.
Fine Art Photographer Kerto Elvin to Exhibit New Collection at The Game Fair 24–26 July 2026 at Ragley Hall, UK

While known for her exquisite studio pet portraits, Kerto’s latest work captures the texture and spirit of British field sports, casting subjects in the deep, atmospheric light reminiscent of historic European masterpieces. The collection features large-scale archival prints, including the highly anticipated centerpiece, “The Last Tango”, which showcases a poignant, poetic study of game birds frozen in a final, elegant waltz.

“My goal is to elevate the quiet aftermath of the drive into a timeless monument for the home,” says Kerto. “By meticulously staging authentic elements of the sport – from fine side-by-side shotguns and spent brass to rich plumage – then marrying them with intricate digital brushwork and composite historic interiors, these pieces are crafted specifically for the traditional country gunroom or estate wall.”

STEEL & FUR

This evocative series of flat-lay photographs captures the rich, tactile heritage of traditional fieldsports.
Set against a dark, textured backdrop of natural fur hide, each composition meticulously arranges the tools of the chase: an intricately engraved side-by-side shotgun with an open breech, weathered leather gun slips, and spent brass cartridges.
A solitary pheasant feather serves as a poetic visual anchor across the images, symbolizing the quiet aftermath of the drive.
The masterfully controlled lighting is highlighting deep walnut grains, metallic steel gleams, and rich leather patinas to create a deeply atmospheric, fine-art study of stillness.

Framing options

Without glass with fine art varnish protective coating

Some art looks most authentic when framed without glass. To protect your unglazed print by applying a water-based UV varnish before framing. This low-sheen finish eliminates distracting reflections, allowing for perfect viewing from any angle. It also seals the surface so you can gently wipe the artwork with a soft cloth.

Ultra-clear “True Colour” premium acrylic

Unlike traditional framing glass, which carries a subtle green tint from the manufacturing process, our Cast Acrylic offers flawless optical clarity. By eliminating distracting colour casts, it preserves the true, unaltered beauty of your artwork. Furthermore, this high-grade acrylic provides exceptional strength, making it lighter, more resilient, and much safer to transport than standard glass
